Focus Timer (“the App”) is a focus timer app that helps users put their smartphone down and stay focused. This policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used.

2. Information Handled by the App

The App stores focus timer data, stamina, tickets, and focus logs on your device.

Main information stored on the device:

  • Successful focus set records
  • Completed cycle records
  • Failure counts and failure timestamps
  • Stamina, recovery tickets, and timer progress state
  • Settings for whether the notification explanation has already been shown

This information is used for displaying logs in the App, restoring timer state, and generating share images.

3. Information That May Be Sent Externally

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. The AdMob SDK may collect or transmit information such as advertising IDs, device information, and usage-related information for ad delivery, ad measurement, and fraud prevention.

The App itself does not send focus logs, stamina, tickets, or failure history to the developer’s server.

4. Sensor Use

The App uses device sensors such as the accelerometer to detect whether the device has been picked up or tilted during a focus session.

Sensor values are used only for interruption detection during focus sessions and are not sent to the developer’s server.

5. Notifications

The App shows local notifications when breaks and long breaks finish. On Android 13 and later, notification permission is required to show notifications. You can still use the timer features even if you do not allow notifications.

6. Share Images

If you choose to generate a share image from the log screen, the App generates an image from log information stored on your device and passes it to the Android share sheet. How the shared image is handled depends on the terms and privacy policy of the app or service you share it with.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service or SDK:

8. Data Deletion

Focus logs and settings are stored on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes the App data stored on the device.

9. Children

The App is not primarily intended for children. Google Play age settings, ad settings, and store listing content will be configured according to Google Play policies.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated due to feature additions, SDK changes, legal changes, or Google Play policy changes.
